Ticketing Courtesy
- Be sure to select the appropriate ticket type under "Project Information". If the ticket is for a computer related issue, choose "System Support Ticket", not "Administrative Office Ticket".
- Read through the recent trouble tickets to make sure your issue is not already being addressed. If it has been posted already, you may want to add a comment highlighting your need for specific attention to the ticket.
- Be as specific as you can when posting a trouble ticket or a comment. Remember that many others will be reading your trouble ticket to determine whether or not their problem has already been posted, as well as whether or not the issue is being addressed. Confusion can be reduced by being specific about the computer experiencing trouble and the nature of the problem.
- Post only one ticket per problem. If a single computer has more than one issue, separate each issue as a separate ticket, so that as problems are addressed they can be closed individually.
